We are looking for a dedicated Room Attendant to join our team. This role is ideal for a hard-working person who takes pride in maintaining clean, welcoming guest rooms. You will play an important part in creating positive experiences for guests and helping them feel at home.
Position Responsibilities
Your day-to-day duties will include:
• Greeting guests and responding to their questions
• Changing bed linen and making beds
• Replacing towels and restocking bathroom items such as shampoo and soap
• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
• Dusting and polishing furniture
• Emptying trash containers
• Restocking mini bars with beverages and snacks
• Cleaning public areas such as corridors
• Reporting any maintenance issues
• Updating the status of guest rooms on assignment sheets
• Returning and restocking cleaning equipment at the end of your shift
• Checking that all appliances are in working order
• Removing room service items
• Maintaining guest room security and confidentiality
• Following all workplace safety and security procedures
• Carrying out other duties as assigned
This is a full-time position with hours up to 40 per week. The role requires flexibility with availability, including weekends and holidays. You may also be eligible to earn overtime and shift differentials under certain circumstances.
Skills/Background Needed
• A genuine desire to help others in a busy environment
• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to learn about cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow basic instructions in English
• Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weights (approximately 30 lbs)
• Good physical stamina and mobility, including ability to reach, bend, squat, and kneel
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, typically 8am to 4:30pm, including weekends and holidays
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract Length: Full-time, ongoing.
