About the Role
As a Room Attendant, you’ll work with the housekeeping team to clean and maintain guest rooms and public spaces to high standards. This is a full-time, on-site position where you’ll take pride in creating clean, welcoming environments for guests.
What You’ll Do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to established standards and procedures
• Make beds, dust surfaces, vacuum floors, and clean and sanitize bathrooms
• Remove trash and handle general room maintenance tasks
• Clean kitchen areas, refrigerators, microwaves, and other appliances as needed
• Notify your supervisor when rooms are ready for guests
• Respond to guest requests and special cleaning needs
• Operate commercial laundry equipment when assigned, including washers and dryers
• Receive, inspect, and process soiled linens; fold and store clean linens
• Report damaged items, needed repairs, or unsafe conditions to your supervisor
• Handle lost and found items according to established procedures
• Assist with deep cleaning projects as needed
• Work efficiently to minimize waste of cleaning supplies and amenities
• Coordinate with other team members and shifts to maintain quality service
• Follow all health and safety regulations
Skills/background needed
No prior housekeeping experience is required – full training will be provided. However, if you have previous housekeeping or hotel experience, that’s a bonus.
You’ll need to be comfortable:
• Standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility regularly
• Lifting, carrying, and pulling items weighing up to 75 pounds
• Working with commercial cleaning chemicals
• Working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Speaking and understanding English to communicate with guests and team members
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills
Fluency in additional languages is a valued bonus.
Rate
Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length
Full-time, permanent position.
