Role: Housekeeping Room Attendant
Contract length: Full time and part time positions available
Shift pattern: Varies with facility needs. Includes two breaks and one 30-minute lunch break per shift. Overtime is rarely required.

About the role:
As a Housekeeping Room Attendant, you’ll play a key part in keeping guest accommodations clean, comfortable, and welcoming. You’ll work across a range of spaces including guest rooms, bathrooms, lounges, lobbies, hallways, elevators, and stairways. Most areas are well-lit and temperature-controlled, though you may occasionally work outdoors in various weather conditions when cleaning external areas.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
• Sort, count, fold, and transport linens between locations
• Make and change beds in guest rooms
• Restock supplies including drinking glasses, writing materials, and bathroom items
• Clean and sanitise rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, lounges, elevators, stairways, and common areas
• Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors throughout the facility
• Clean carpets, rugs, and upholstered furniture
• Dust furniture and equipment
• Polish metalwork and fixtures
• Wash windows, walls, doors, and woodwork
• Empty waste baskets and clean ashtrays
• Transport waste to the disposal area
• Replace light bulbs as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor
Skills/background needed:
• No prior experience necessary – full training will be provided
• Ability to communicate clearly and work well with team members
• Strong customer service mindset
• Physical ability to push and pull equipment (such as a loaded housekeeping cart) over uneven surfaces
• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and lift as needed
• Comfortable standing, walking, sitting, and kneeling for extended periods
• Ability to handle objects of different sizes and weights
• Able to follow verbal instructions
• Able to work independently and manage your time effectively
• Speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace
Equipment you’ll use:
You’ll work with standard housekeeping tools and equipment including vacuum cleaners, mops, brooms, extendable wands, cleaning supplies, and a housekeeping supply cart. A uniform will be provided.
