About the role:
We’re looking for reliable, detail-oriented housekeepers to maintain clean and sanitary environments in a medical facility. You’ll be responsible for keeping resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, and public spaces clean and welcoming. No prior experience is necessary – full training will be provided.
What you’ll do:
Your daily tasks will include:
- Clean and sanitise resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, and common spaces
- Dust furniture and equipment, and wipe railings daily
- Mop and sweep assigned areas, moving furniture as needed
- Clean windows, mirrors, door panels, and sills
- Wash walls and woodwork as needed
- Empty waste baskets and transport trash to disposal areas
- Restock supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels
- Clean sinks and toilets thoroughly
- Remove and prepare curtains for cleaning as scheduled
- Clean dining areas after meals, including wiping tables and mopping floors
- Stock and maintain your housekeeping cart at the end of each shift, ensuring chemicals are stored safely
- Report any broken equipment or maintenance issues to your supervisor
- Follow all safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals
- Attend all required training sessions
What we’re looking for:
You don’t need any previous experience – we’ll train you from day one. What matters is that you’re:
- Detail-oriented and thorough in your work
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to read and understand simple English instructions
- Physically able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors (approximately 90% indoors, 10% outdoors)
Skills/background needed:
No experience required. Basic English language skills (reading, writing, and comprehension) are essential. You’ll be trained on all cleaning equipment and chemicals, including safety protocols.
Work environment:
This is an on-site, full-time position. You’ll be working in a medical facility environment with various floor surfaces including carpet, tile, and linoleum. The noise level is typically moderate. You may be exposed to cleaning chemicals, so we’ll provide full training on safe handling and provide necessary protective equipment.
Equipment you’ll use:
Mops, brooms, dust mops, vacuum cleaners, and housekeeping carts. All equipment will be provided, and you’ll receive full training on how to use everything safely.
