THE ROLE
As a Housekeeping Lead, you’ll work on-site at a boutique hotel, reporting to the manager and supporting the housekeeping team. You’ll lead by example, helping your teammates deliver excellent service and maintain the highest standards for guest rooms. You’ll spend your day working closely with your team and guests, collaborating with other departments, and ensuring every room meets our quality expectations. Leadership here means being humble, supportive, and willing to jump in wherever needed – no ego required.
WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Demonstrate a positive work ethic and attitude every shift
• Guide your team on ethical practices and business standards
• Coach your team to deliver exceptional guest service, encouraging creative problem-solving
• Inspect physical facilities and equipment, catching details that prevent issues before they happen
• Work with other departments and vendors to manage cleaning schedules and preventative maintenance
• Help your team complete daily tasks – inspecting rooms, cleaning guest rooms, stocking supplies – while making sure they feel supported
• Stay knowledgeable about guest and teammate safety, security, and well-being; respond effectively in emergencies
• Communicate openly within your department
• Coach and develop your teammates through ongoing feedback and support
• Perform other duties as needed
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• At least one year of housekeeping or hospitality experience (training provided if you’re willing to learn)
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking); additional languages are a bonus
• Strong communication skills that work with people at all levels
• Basic ability to use spreadsheet and word processing software
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This role requires you to regularly see, talk, and hear. You’ll frequently sit and use your hands. You’ll occasionally reach with your hands and arms. You must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. You may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts.
