As a Housekeeping Attendant, you’ll prepare and maintain guest rooms to the highest standards, creating clean, welcoming spaces where guests can relax and feel at home. This is a hands-on role where attention to detail and a genuine care for guest comfort make all the difference.
Your Day to Day
Clean and prepare rooms to established standards, ensuring every detail is perfect and memorable for guests. Help guests with requests such as extra amenities or local information. Keep your supervisor informed of progress and report any maintenance issues or repairs needed. Follow all established safety procedures and wear protective equipment when required. Stay organised with supplies and amenities, working to reduce waste. Handle lost and found items according to procedure. Wear your uniform with pride. Assist with additional duties as they arise, including deep cleaning projects and turndown services. Work collaboratively with your team and communicate with other departments to deliver excellent service.
Skills/background needed
This is a physical role requiring you to be on your feet most of the day. You’ll need reasonable fitness and strength to occasionally lift items up to 50 pounds and push or pull heavy objects. You may need to bend and kneel while completing tasks. Basic reading, writing, and math skills are helpful. Flexibility with shift patterns is important—you may be scheduled for nights, weekends, and holidays. No prior experience is required; full training will be provided.
