About the role
As a Housekeeping Attendant, you’ll work at a hospitality property where you’ll both perform cleaning duties and support the team. No prior experience is required—we provide full training.
Your responsibilities will include:
Cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, hallways, common areas, storage spaces, laundry rooms, and exterior areas using both hand-held and powered cleaning equipment. Tasks include vacuuming, mopping, dusting, scrubbing, polishing, and managing linens and towels. You’ll conduct daily room and facility inspections and keep written records of your work. You’ll help manage cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment, including ordering items as needed and maintaining inventory. You’ll greet guests warmly, resolve complaints or concerns in a tactful way, and maintain high standards of guest privacy and security. You may assist with setting up and clearing breakfast service areas, including food handling tasks (certification provided). You’ll help train new team members and pass along information from supervisors to the wider team. You’ll perform laundry operations and maintain a safe, clean environment, including following proper protocols for handling contaminated items. You may be asked to help maintain operations during unexpected closures or emergencies for short periods.
Skills/background needed: No experience necessary. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Some housekeeping or leadership experience is a plus, but not required. You’ll need a valid state driver’s license. You may be asked to obtain relevant certifications within 6 months of starting.
