Position Purpose:
Prepare and maintain sleeping rooms, bathrooms and common areas to provide a high standard of cleanliness and hospitality for all guests and staff. Work safely and efficiently to ensure a welcoming environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Clean and service assigned rooms and bathrooms daily using approved cleaning methods and products
- Notify your supervisor of any time off needed with at least 2 weeks’ notice
- Support team members and ask for assistance when needed
- Handle items left behind by guests, label them, and deliver to the front desk
- Maintain cleanliness and care of sleeping units, public spaces and office areas
- Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed to your manager
- Respect guest privacy by announcing before entering rooms and securing doors when leaving
- Follow all health and safety procedures and workplace guidelines
- Work quickly and efficiently without compromising cleaning quality
- Assist with tracking inventory and ordering supplies and linens as needed
- Organize and store linens and cleaning supplies for easy access
- Participate in room inspections and address any issues promptly
- Update your supervisor on the status of cleaned rooms each day
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in housekeeping or a similar cleaning role
- Attention to detail and commitment to high standards
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to lift and move items up to 25 lbs regularly
- Willingness to work weekends as required
- Proficiency in English; Spanish language skills are a bonus
Physical Requirements:
This role requires the ability to see, hear, speak, type, write and move around the workplace while performing cleaning tasks. You will regularly lift mattresses and other items up to 25 lbs.
Schedule:
Full-time position. The standard schedule is 11am–7pm, Tuesday through Saturday. Some flexibility may be needed from time to time. Weekend work is required.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Full-time, ongoing
Skills/background needed: Prior housekeeping or hospitality cleaning experience required. Ability to commute to the work location required.
