About the role
You’ll work as a Room Attendant in a hospitality setting, supporting the housekeeping team to deliver excellent service. You’ll report to management and work collaboratively across departments to maintain high standards in guest rooms and common areas. This is a hands-on role where you’ll spend your day engaging with team members and guests, leading by example and helping to create a welcoming environment for everyone.
What you’ll do
• Inspect, clean, and stock guest rooms to meet set standards
• Support your team by helping with daily tasks and providing guidance where needed
• Notice and report any maintenance issues or damage to facilities and equipment
• Work with other departments to complete cleaning and maintenance programmes
• Respond to guest requests with professionalism and care, finding creative solutions to meet their needs
• Maintain knowledge of safety and security procedures, responding appropriately in any emergency
• Coach and support team members to help them develop their skills
• Communicate openly with your team and management
• Perform other duties as requested
What you’ll need
• At least one year of experience in hospitality or housekeeping (or equivalent)
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
• Basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Willingness to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays
• Physical ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds occasionally, and up to 10 pounds regularly
Physical demands
This role requires regular seeing, talking, and hearing. You’ll frequently sit and use your hands. You may occasionally reach with your hands and arms. You’ll regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. You may be occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The work environment is usually quiet.
