Position Summary:
You’ll keep assigned areas clean and well-maintained, following established procedures to create a safe, sanitary environment for residents and staff. This is a hands-on role where your daily work directly supports the health and comfort of the people you serve.
What You’ll Do:
• Follow the cleaning schedule for each assigned area and complete tasks on time
• Mix and handle cleaning chemicals safely, following all safety guidelines
• Sanitize beds, including frames, rails and mattresses, after residents discharge or as needed
• Dust surfaces in vacant areas
• Empty waste bins regularly
• Clean furniture, phones, and other equipment
• Clean restrooms according to procedures
• Clean walls, window sills and windows as scheduled
• Mop and dry mop tile floors in assigned areas
• Vacuum carpeted areas
• Help clean up emergency spills when observed or requested
• Record and monitor refrigerator temperatures in resident rooms
• Wash wheelchairs and maintain equipment
• Remove and arrange laundry for privacy curtains
• Support other areas of the department as needed
• Assist residents with meals if trained
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor
