About the role
As a Housekeeper, you will create and maintain clean, sanitary, comfortable, and orderly spaces for team members. This is a full-time, on-site position with no experience required. Full training will be provided, and we welcome applicants with little or no prior housekeeping background.
What you’ll do:
Cleanliness of all areas: You will clean and disinfect office and lodging areas. You’ll replace supplies as needed, dispose of trash and waste materials, dust furniture and fixtures, sweep and vacuum floors, wet-mop various areas including bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and dining areas. You’ll clean wash basins, mirrors, toilets, tubs, and showers. You may also make beds, do laundry, and wash windows. You will operate mechanized cleaning equipment such as vacuums, polishers, and buffers, and perform detailed deep cleans when required.
Supplies Inventory: You will ensure adequate cleaning supplies are available for daily assignments, maintain all cleaning supplies and equipment, and safely store cleaning solvents and chemicals. You’ll also replenish consumable supplies as needed.
Safety: You will perform all duties in accordance with workplace safety and security policies, and follow health and safety guidelines required by regulatory bodies.
Skills/background needed:
No prior experience is required. We provide full training to all new team members. Ideally, you will have:
• High school diploma or equivalent (or willingness to obtain one)
• Basic familiarity with common cleaning and sanitation products
• Understanding of how to clean different materials safely
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks
• Valid driver’s license
• Basic comfort with smartphones or electronic tablets
• Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required
Physical demands:
This role requires you to regularly stand, walk, use your hands to handle materials, reach, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. You will frequently climb or balance. You must be able to lift and move up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Good close and distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus are important. You will be exposed to wet and humid conditions, cleaning fumes and airborne particles, and chemicals. Occasionally you may be exposed to outside weather, extreme temperatures, and vibration. The work environment noise level is usually moderate.
