Summary
As a Housekeeper, you’ll be responsible for keeping hotel rooms and common areas clean, safe, and welcoming for guests. Your attention to detail and hard work directly impact how guests experience their stay—and whether they return and recommend the property to others.
What You’ll Do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Receive your assigned list of rooms from your manager and prioritise which ones need early cleaning.Check your cleaning cart inventory and restock supplies as needed.Knock and announce yourself before entering a room; return later if the room is occupied.Remove soiled linens, towels, and bedspreads, and replace them with fresh ones.Make beds neatly and stock bathrooms with towels, washcloths, and hand towels according to standards.Clean and disinfect bathrooms, kitchenettes, and coffee preparation areas.Wipe down surfaces and clean mirrors throughout the room.Vacuum floors and remove trash.Check and restock complimentary toiletries, snacks, and coffee supplies using provided checklists.Complete a final walkthrough to ensure the room meets standards.Keep common areas and facilities clean and well-maintained.Notify your supervisor when rooms are ready and report any safety or maintenance concerns.Handle laundry duties as needed, including loading and folding linens.Identify and report safety hazards to your supervisor and maintenance team.Transfer found items to the lost and found area when guests check out.Assist with light grounds maintenance such as lawn care, trimming, or snow clearing as assigned.Complete other related duties as assigned.
Skills/background needed
No prior experience is required. We provide full training on all cleaning methods, policies, and procedures. You should have:
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.Ability to manage your time well and complete assigned tasks efficiently.Friendly and approachable manner when interacting with guests.Willingness to follow instructions and take direction in English.Ability to work independently and professionally.Physical capability to lift at least 25 pounds and perform repetitive movements.A professional appearance and positive attitude.Punctuality and reliability.
