About the Role:
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team on a full-time basis. You’ll be responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary conditions across assigned areas, following established cleaning procedures, and ensuring every space is well-maintained and welcoming. This role includes day shifts and every other weekend.
What You’ll Do:
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Receive assignments from your supervisor and follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules• Clean and maintain assigned areas, including floors, furnishings, fixtures, and bathrooms• Perform floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting• Dust, spot-clean, and polish furniture and fixtures as needed• Clean bathrooms and replenish bathroom supplies• Wash windows, mirrors, walls, and doors according to schedule• Empty, clean, and replace wastebaskets and ashtrays• Perform deep cleaning in rooms when residents move or transfer, preparing spaces for new occupants• Handle soiled linens and send them for laundering• Inspect areas for wear or damage and report issues to your supervisor• Report any maintenance needs or supply shortages• Assist with laundry tasks when needed• Maintain proper cleaning and disinfecting techniques at all times• Use cleaning supplies and equipment economically and carefully• Work cooperatively with colleagues to maintain team efficiency and morale• Complete other duties as assigned by your supervisor
Skills/background needed:
• At least 18 years old• High school diploma or equivalent• Able to read, write, and speak English• Physically capable of performing housekeeping duties, including standing, lifting, and repetitive movements• Familiar with basic housekeeping functions• Willing to maintain a clean appearance and wear a uniform• Reliable attendance and punctuality• Ability to follow instructions and work independently• Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
