We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation within healthcare facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for keeping the environment clean, safe, and comfortable for patients, staff, visitors, and clients. You will learn proper cleaning techniques, infection prevention practices, and safe handling of cleaning products to ensure compliance with all safety standards. Duties:
- Perform comprehensive cleaning and sanitation of patient rooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and products.
- Handle laundry services, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and uniforms.
- Use proper techniques to lift and move heavy objects safely while following workplace safety guidelines.
- Operate cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, and steam cleaners to maintain floors in excellent condition.
- Follow strict safety protocols related to chemical handling and cleaning procedures to prevent accidents.
- Maintain records of cleaning activities, chemical usage, and safety inspections as required.
- Work with healthcare teams to ensure cleanliness standards are upheld and respond promptly to special cleaning requests.
Skills/background needed:
- Understanding of workplace safety guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures.
- Willingness to learn infection prevention and sanitation practices in healthcare settings.
- Ability to operate basic janitorial equipment and use cleaning supplies appropriately.
