About this role
As a Room Attendant, you’ll work with the housekeeping team to clean and maintain guest rooms and public spaces to the highest standards. You’ll ensure every guest has a welcoming, spotless environment during their stay. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and a commitment to quality service.
What you’ll do
Your daily responsibilities will include:
Clean and service assigned rooms according to established standards and procedures, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms. You may also clean kitchen areas, refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers, and dishware.
Notify your supervisor when rooms are ready for guests or occupancy. Report any issues preventing a room from being serviced.
When assigned to the laundry facility, monitor supplies and equipment, operate washers and dryers according to guidelines, inspect linens for damage or stains, fold and store clean linens, and report any damage to your supervisor.
Use supplies efficiently to minimize waste across all housekeeping areas.
Assist with deep cleaning projects as needed.
Report repairs needed or unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately.
Handle lost and found items according to established procedures.
Work collaboratively with other shifts and departments to maintain quality service and teamwork.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Skills/background needed
No experience required. Full training will be provided. You should be comfortable with physical demands including frequent standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility. You’ll need to be able to carry, lift, or pull items weighing up to 75 pounds. You’ll regularly use commercial cleaning chemicals. Basic English reading and writing skills are helpful. Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
