About the role
We’re looking for a Lead Housekeeper to join our on-site housekeeping team. In this full-time position, you’ll support the management team by helping to oversee daily cleaning operations, train other housekeeping staff, and maintain high cleanliness standards throughout the facility. You’ll work with a small team and have the opportunity to develop leadership skills while ensuring guests and visitors have a clean, welcoming environment.
What you’ll do
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Train and support other housekeeping team members on cleaning standards and procedures
• Inspect rooms and common areas to ensure they meet quality standards
• Perform hands-on cleaning tasks in guest rooms and throughout the facility as needed
• Work with maintenance staff on deep cleaning and preventative maintenance projects
• Organize daily housekeeping assignments and manage cleaning schedules
• Maintain housekeeping carts, storage areas, and laundry facilities
• Complete all required training programmes
• Support additional duties as assigned by management
What we’re looking for
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English and follow instructions
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Good judgment and reliability
• Willingness to train and mentor other team members
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work
• Physical ability to perform housekeeping duties, including standing, bending, reaching, and occasionally lifting cleaning equipment (up to 50 pounds)
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including humidity and exposure to cleaning chemicals
• Flexibility to travel to other nearby locations if needed
