Position Summary
Inspect guest and conference rooms for cleanliness and ensure proper procedures are followed according to workplace standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Remove all used linens daily and replace with clean linen
• Clean guest rooms and bathrooms thoroughly according to workplace standards
• Vacuum rooms and public space carpets daily
• Dust all furniture and fixtures including headboards, mirrors, picture frames, and tables daily
• Ensure proper layout of furniture and amenities in each room type
• Handle the security of guest belongings left in rooms and report any items left behind immediately to your supervisor
• Report immediately any suspicious activities or persons to your supervisor
• Check for message lights in checkout rooms and report to the front desk
• Position your cleaning cart in front of the room door when working and ensure it does not block the hallway
• Follow all departmental rules and procedures
• Maintain all assigned cleaning equipment, empty vacuum bags, and report any equipment problems to your supervisor immediately
• Follow all safety rules and practice safe procedures in all job duties
• Assist with special projects as assigned, such as deep cleaning of rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and exterior areas
• Perform other duties as assigned
Skills/background needed:
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Prior housekeeping experience is preferred but not required
• General customer service experience is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and strong work ethic
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This role requires you to stand and walk throughout your shift. You will frequently use your hands to handle objects, tools, and controls. You may need to reach with your arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. You must be able to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds.
You will work in a moderately noisy environment and may be occasionally exposed to hazards including slipping, tripping, and falls. You will frequently encounter dirt, humidity, heat, and cold, as well as frequent contact with water and cleaning solutions. Regular hand washing is required.

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
