Role Summary
Join a hospitality team as a Housekeeping Aide, where your dedication to cleanliness and comfort will create a welcoming environment for guests. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of sanitation and floor care across guest rooms, public areas, and service spaces. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will ensure spaces remain clean, safe, and inviting for everyone.
What You’ll Do
• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by executing scheduled cleaning routines
• Handle cleaning products safely by following proper handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for yourself and colleagues
• Use housekeeping equipment effectively, including vacuums, mops, buffers, and floor care tools to achieve optimal cleanliness standards
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or supplies while following safe manual handling practices
• Follow emergency procedures diligently during incidents or safety concerns to protect guests and staff
• Maintain records of cleaning activities and schedules as required
Skills/background needed
No prior experience required. Full training will be provided on all cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures. We’re looking for someone with:
• A friendly, helpful attitude towards guests and team members
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely
• Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to different schedules, including late mornings, afternoons, and weekends
• Reliability and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
