We are seeking a diligent Housekeeper who will keep our hotel looking its absolute best. You will work with a team of cleaning professionals. Our ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail while handling vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sweeping duties. Your housekeeping services are a significant part of providing excellent hospitality to our guests. No prior experience is required—we provide full training for hardworking people who are team players.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Your day-to-day work will include:
Cleaning corridors, guest areas, service areas, and linen closets. Emptying trash and linen bags, and depositing linen down chutes. Vacuuming public areas, corridors, and guestrooms. Delivering rollaway beds and cribs to guestrooms. Turning mattresses as directed. Stocking supplies in linen closets. Sweeping and mopping service areas. Cleaning and maintaining vending machine areas. Checking public restrooms for cleanliness throughout the day. Checking each floor to ensure fire doors are properly positioned. Inspecting elevators for cleanliness.
Assisting with luggage handling when needed. Cleaning guestrooms, changing bed linen daily, and dusting all furniture including picture frames, bed frames, lamps, televisions, and dressers. Removing fingerprints and smudges from mirrors, shiny surfaces, windows, and other areas. Thoroughly cleaning bathrooms including shower stalls, sinks, floors, and toilets. Ensuring standard room setup is maintained. Reporting immediately any damage or missing items found in rooms. Reporting any personal guest items found in vacant rooms to your supervisor.
Taking responsibility for pass keys and ensuring they are turned in daily. Turning in all lost and found items to your supervisor. Checking lights and changing bulbs. Maintaining outside grounds daily. Assisting with unloading deliveries and proper storage.
Laundry responsibilities include: removing stains from soiled linen, operating washers and dryers correctly, folding linens to standard, washing banquet and kitchen laundry, washing bedspreads and blankets per instructions, and keeping the laundry area neat and clean. Handling all laundry chemicals properly and reporting inventory levels. Assisting other housekeeping team members in other areas when needed.
You may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors to meet operational needs.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Full-time, on-site position.
Skills/background needed:
Ability to lift, bend, move heavy equipment, and remain on your feet for extended periods of time. Good communication skills. Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to excellent service and maintaining high standards. Flexibility to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays. Willingness to learn hotel housekeeping and cleaning techniques through on-the-job training.
