Position Summary:
Maintain and perform all housekeeping duties including cleaning guest rooms, restocking supplies, removing dirty linens and trash, washing glassware, and greeting guests to respond to their concerns or questions. Perform all responsibilities in accordance with established housekeeping standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions:
• Maintain cleanliness of all assigned areas, including guest rooms, hallways, windows, elevators, mirrors, pool areas, and offices
• Perform general and deep cleaning tasks including changing bed linens, scrubbing and sanitizing surfaces, polishing and dusting furniture, mopping floors, and vacuuming carpets
• Move and arrange guest room amenities and furniture as needed
• Stock and maintain housekeeping carts and storage areas in a neat and organised manner
• Handle all soiled linens, amenities, and furniture safely
• Manage guest room trash, recycling, and disposal processes
• Communicate effectively by phone and radio with team members
• Identify potential hazards and report them to management immediately
• Operate cleaning tools and equipment including mops, vacuums, carpet extractors, and steamers
• Inspect guest room equipment such as coffee makers and beds, and report items needing repair
• Rotate and maintain inventory when receiving and distributing supplies
• Understand and comply with all department rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
Non-Essential Functions:
• Operate and maintain laundry machines
• Assist with monthly inventory tasks
Skills/background needed:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form
• Ability to establish positive working relationships with team members
• Comfortable using cleaning equipment such as vacuums, scrubbers, carpet extractors, and other mechanical or electrical tools
• Ability to learn general knowledge of housekeeping operations
• Normal or corrective vision; ability to distinguish colours, letters, numbers, and symbols
• Ability to tolerate cleaning chemicals and solvents
• Manual dexterity to perform job tasks
Physical Requirements:
This role involves frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and squatting throughout your shift. You will regularly lift and carry items up to 50 lbs, and push or pull carts and equipment. You may occasionally climb ladders and reach above shoulder height. You must be able to communicate clearly by telephone and radio.

Contract length: Full-time, on-site position.
