About the role
We’re looking for a Housekeeping Attendant to join our residential care facility. You’ll play a vital role in creating a clean, comfortable, and safe living environment for our residents. This is a full-time, permanent position with no prior experience required—we provide full training on the job.
What you’ll do
Your day-to-day duties will include:
Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, floors, walls, windows, and furniture throughout the facility
Taking out garbage and disposing of waste safely using proper procedures
Selecting appropriate cleaning solutions and chemicals for different surfaces
Loading, unloading, and operating washers and dryers
Sorting, inspecting, folding, and delivering laundry and linens to residents
Stocking supplies and chemicals for assigned areas
Identifying maintenance issues and reporting them to the appropriate team member
Working safely with biohazard materials using universal precaution processes
Communicating respectfully and patiently with residents while cleaning their personal spaces
What we’re looking for
You’ll need:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
Ability to stand, walk, and work on concrete floors for a full 8-hour shift
Ability to move side-to-side while sweeping and mopping
Willingness to learn proper cleaning methods, equipment operation, and facility procedures
Basic knowledge of cleaning products and safe handling practices
Patience and respect when working with elderly and disabled residents
Reliable, consistent work pace
Previous housekeeping experience is a bonus but not required. We welcome applications from people with 0–6 months of work experience or those making a career change.
