Role: Housekeeper
About the role:
We are looking for reliable, detail-oriented individuals to join our housekeeping team. You will be responsible for cleaning and preparing guest rooms to the highest standards, ensuring every space is spotless, welcoming, and ready for guests. This is a full-time, on-site position that offers training and support as you develop your skills in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
What you’ll do:
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Clean and prepare vacant rooms to guest-ready standard and refresh occupied rooms within specified timeframes
• Follow standardised cleaning procedures for every assignment
• Properly handle and organise linens, supplies, and equipment while maintaining cost controls and sanitation standards
• Maintain a professional appearance and grooming standards
• Respond promptly to guest requests and special needs
• Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or discrepancies to your supervisor
• Assist with cleaning public areas such as restrooms, hallways, and common spaces as needed
• Work both independently and as part of a team
• Maintain guest privacy and handle sensitive situations with discretion
Physical requirements:
This role involves standing for extended periods, bending, stretching, reaching, and moving throughout the day. You will need to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly and push or pull items up to 60 pounds. Good hearing and vision are essential, as is the ability to communicate clearly with guests and colleagues.
Skills/background needed:
• No prior experience required – full training will be provided
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Honest, trustworthy, and reliable character
• Ability to follow detailed procedures consistently
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Professional, friendly attitude and commitment to excellent guest service
• Willingness to learn and use basic computer systems for daily tasks
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings
