A Housekeeper is responsible for keeping guest rooms and public areas consistently clean and organized. You’ll maintain high standards of cleanliness and create a welcoming environment where guests feel confident in the quality of their accommodations.
What you’ll be doing:
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Clean and stock all assigned guest rooms, including changing linens, replacing supplies, dusting, vacuuming, emptying trash, and removing used items. Clean bathrooms thoroughly, including toilets, tubs, and sinks. Polish and straighten furniture and appliances.
Greet guests you encounter throughout the property in a friendly and professional manner.
Keep your workspace, storage areas, and housekeeping cart clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
Report any damage to furniture, walls, carpets, or appliances following workplace procedures.
Follow all health, safety, and sanitary guidelines, including proper chemical handling procedures and equipment safety protocols.
Handle lost and found items according to workplace procedures.
Work with the housekeeping team, attending daily meetings and communicating openly about room status and any issues.
Assist with seasonal deep cleaning tasks as assigned.
Help train new team members as you gain experience.
Skills/background needed:
No prior experience is required. We provide full training on all cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and workplace systems. You should have attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a willingness to maintain high standards. Physical fitness is important as the role involves standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive movements throughout the day.
