About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to join our team. In this entry-level position, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming spaces. You’ll work as part of a supportive team where your contributions are valued and recognized.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your daily responsibilities will include:
• Sweep, mop, and maintain tile and carpeted floors following standard procedures
• Vacuum carpeted areas as needed
• Dust and clean surfaces in rooms, including furniture, bed frames, and windowsills
• Empty, clean, and replace trash cans
• Clean bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets
• Clean mirrors, windows, and glass surfaces
• Move and arrange furniture to clean behind and underneath
• Clean and maintain dining areas
• Change and rehang curtains and draperies as needed
• Sweep outdoor areas and remove debris
• Follow cleaning schedules set by your supervisor
• Follow infection control and safety standards when handling chemicals
• Report equipment repairs needed to the maintenance team
• Maintain supplies including soap, lotion, paper towels, and toilet tissue
• Inspect equipment before use to ensure safe operation
• Treat all spaces and people with dignity and respect
Skills and Background Needed
• Basic understanding of cleaning principles and chemical safety
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude
• Ability to work well with a team
• Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing)
• Ability to read and understand safety instructions and procedure manuals
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is helpful but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements
This position involves regular sitting, walking, and standing. You’ll frequently use your hands to handle equipment and supplies, and you may need to reach and lift items.
