Summary:Clean and maintain guest rooms and common areas in a hotel setting, following established procedures and standards.
What you’ll be doing:
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Clean, dust, and polish guest rooms according to hotel standards
- Stock and restock cleaning carts with supplies at the start and end of your shift
- Replace bed linens and replenish guest room supplies
- Empty wastebaskets and clean all areas thoroughly
- Rearrange furniture and room accessories as needed
- Greet guests with a friendly welcome
- Report any damage, hazards, or maintenance needs to your supervisor
- Handle lost and found items properly by documenting details
- Manage keys responsibly during your shift
- Clean corridors and service areas
- Replace light bulbs when necessary
- Respond to special requests from the housekeeping team
- Organize linen closets to prepare for the next day
Skills and experience needed:
No prior experience is required. We’re looking for someone who:
- Is reliable and punctual
- Speaks English to communicate with guests and team members
- Is comfortable with physical work, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- Can lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Can work safely with cleaning supplies and hand tools like vacuum cleaners
- Is detail-oriented and takes pride in your work
- Can follow written and verbal instructions
- Has good customer service instincts and can recognize situations needing supervisor attention
What we’ll provide:
Full training will be provided on all procedures, cleaning techniques, and safety protocols. You’ll work with an on-site team that supports your success from day one.
Physical requirements:
This role involves regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching. You’ll be working in an environment with moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to cleaning solutions. Reasonable accommodations can be discussed.
