Summary:
This position involves performing routine cleaning and linen handling tasks on a daily basis. You will be responsible for providing linen services to support the facility’s operations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
Responsibilities:
Your main duties will include:
- Perform assigned cleaning and linen tasks according to written procedures and verbal instructions
- Clean walls, floors, ceilings, windows, and furniture in designated areas
- Clean and maintain linen carts and storage areas
- Handle and transport soiled linen using standard safety procedures
- Sort, stack, and deliver clean linen to different areas of the facility
- Report any linen supply needs to your supervisor
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills/background needed:
- No prior experience required – full training will be provided
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical capability to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the facility for long periods
- Overall good vision and hearing (with or without correction)
- Manual dexterity for handling, reaching, and grasping tasks
- Comfort wearing personal protective equipment when required
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Contract length:
Permanent, full-time position.
